Tradewinds Park & Stables boasts horseback riding trails, a disc golf course, a fishing lake, and their butterfly farm.
Want to get up close and personal with wildlife? Seminole Casino is a big attraction in Broward County and makes for a day of fun whether you're playing poker or trying your hand at the slot machines. If a casino isn't your style, then head to Off The Wall in Coconut Creek. Off The Wall is a trampoline park that also features laser tag, a rock climbing area, and a playground. One of the things people enjoy most about Broward County is the proximity to the ocean, and if you're looking for an aquatic thrill or two, you should head over to Parrot Island Scuba Adventures. Dive and explore everything from shipwrecks to reefs full of cool sea critters. It's sure to be an experience you won't soon forget.
If learning is the thrill you seek, Broward County is home to many great museums. Take a tour of the Plantation Historical Museum in Plantation, Florida, or the Young at Art Museum in Davie, which features exhibits for kids and teens to be immersed in the art world. For more museum fun, head to the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale and enjoy various exhibits on display featuring STEM subjects for audiences of all ages.
There are plenty of great stores and boutiques to visit in Broward County, and you'll find a great selection by exploring East Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. East Las Olas Boulevard is home to many specialty shops, bridal stores, boutiques, art galleries, and the like if you're looking for a more eclectic shopping experience, head on over to Cooper City Antique Mall and go rummaging for that perfect vintage piece. From old cameras to unique pieces of furniture, you'll be sure to walk away with a great find.
If you're more of a mall person and like to shop 'till you drop, check out The Galleria in Fort Lauderdale or Westfield Mall in Plantation. The Galleria, featuring brand name stores and high-end shopping, was originally an open-air mall but has been completely renovated and enclosed. At Westfield Mall in Plantation, Florida, you'll find the bigger department stores like Dillard's and Macy's, as well as many other name brands, specialty stores, and lots of options for snacking or dining.
If you're looking to satisfy an appetite, Broward County has a plethora of delicious and top-rated restaurants from which to choose. After a day exploring Fort Lauderdale, head to The Foxy Brown, an American bistro serving delicious dishes such as The Nemo, which consists of seasoned Mahi Mahi on a sandwich, or Mabel's Chicken. If that doesn't fix your craving, head to Ceviche 595 in Davie for some excellent Peruvian food brought to you by chef Louis Serrano. Serrano takes inspiration from his Peruvian culture and uses it to create stellar meals such as Pescado a lo macho, or try one of their many ceviches like the ceviche de Camarones. Another great restaurant to try is Tavolino Della Notte in Coral Springs. This classic Italian restaurant is a few steps above your average Olive Garden. Choose from specialties such as pollo Madeira, veal chop Milanese, lobster ravioli, and more. Broward County offers eateries deserving of notable attention, from holes in the wall diners to the stunning oceanside restaurants these days.
